Ouch

Beware microwaves. Keith took a cup of soup out of the microwave and spilled some on the back of his hand. Ouch. He got second degree burns but Babushka Valya got him under some cold running water right away and ran to get Grecia. They took a pitcher of ice water with them to the urgent care and he got wrapped up there. Below is Keith with a Simpson's comic and his wrapped hand. During the worst of it he cried, "I'm going to have a scar! I never had a scar in my whole life!". I said, "You're ten." Did not help. Grecia showed him the after effects of being burned by rubber (I didn't ask) and they were mild so that helped.

He seems ok pain wise and not complaining about it so all's well that ends well.

On a sad note Babushka Valya is leaving for Moscow tomorrow and she will be sorely missed. But Lyena will be very glad to see her and run her ragged keeping up with her summer dance class schedule. Now Keith and Pasha will have to be the ones seeing Valya on skype.
