Santa Cruz
When I left Tommy's we drove to Santa Cruz first and stopped at "The Mystery Spot" in the beautiful redwood forest above the city. It is a place where the laws of physics are suspended...or they screw with your mind's need to make patterns and find a horizon. One of those. It starts with an optical illusion involving compared heights and then you are led to a house that is crooked on a very steep hill. It makes you dizzy and disoriented because you no longer know what is level. It is easier if you close your eyes. Then it just feels steep. Poor Elizabeth had a renewed morning sickness attack that morning so was not very thrilled with the effect but as usual she was a trooper.
We finished with a picnic at the beach and then went our separate ways.
Big Sur
What can you say about Big Sur. I am so glad I took this rather than the 5. I left Sac at 9 am and got home at 1:11 am and it was worth every minute. Hello gorgeous!
