Finally Doing What I Was Always Supposed To Do

It seems barely 40 years ago, yesterday practically, when I was sure I would be an artist. Of course, who would want to attend the BU classes in art when one could go to California and live hand to mouth there? Well, love made it worth it for the moment, but now I am back. Of course, I could always have pursued it, but I didn't. That was then and this is now. What I have below are my beginning efforts. A monster has been created. I like to think of my style as 'realism with a dash of heart'. Fortunately I do not know any art critics and my capacity for believing what I need to is immense. You are my first audience.

I have decided to plaster the house with these in lieu of getting cats or something equally hard to maintain. And this travels well. Your thoughts are appreciated. At least with art as my guide I do not have to give up my hand to mouth existence. Enjoy.

My studio aka bizarrely large bathroom. Looking into the sitting room.

When I first started painting again, I went into the WC and wrote this on the wall.
It is my new signature.

This had been sitting in my closet for some time. It had a different vase that I didn't like. I finally decided I liked it well enough to just give it a new vase and this is the result. I love the poppies.

This one is a personal favorite that I did just for me. It has the Robert Frost Poem, "Stopping in the Woods on a Snowy Evening" written on it. That is my favorite poem.

Sunset after a Rainy Evening

Big Sur
There is a certain amount of frenzy in this that I love.
It pays to be a little insane. Me and Van Gogh

This one is specifically for me.
It is my one and only, and likely last, foray into abstractish.
I plan to keep it well hidden.
Also, this one does look a little better in person than the picture here.
