As payment for hosting an open house for my realtor friend, she was going to get me a tank of gas. Yippee! In order to get to her house to meet her I had to buy a little gas so I pulled into the AM/PM to get a couple of bucks worth and BOOM!!! A high school kid who was parked in his gigantic SUV backed into me. Meps.
I had a few minutes by myself to curse and say, "No,no,no,no,no!!! Not the car!! I need the car!!" But by the time he got out and came over, I was the take-charge mature women that lurks inside of me, rarely making an appearance.
The good news - he is insured and the car is drivable. The only damage is to the door and the frame around the door. But what a pain. So before tomorrow's interviews I will waste some of that hard earned gas running around getting estimates.
If I get the job, everyone had better brace for an earthquake.
You can't see it so well, but the door handle is stuck open.

Geez Clare! Well, best of luck on the job search, and try not to sweat the crappy luck you had here! Worry about the car another day! (as long as it is drivable anyway)
