Grabbed the grandkids and went to Encinitas to see if we could see any whales. I have seen them from there before. Turned out to be a wash, but managed to have fun anyway. It was, after all, the beach. None of us had been there in awhile.
Looked south
Looked north
Saw whales from this exact spot last year
and supposedly there are more this year.
Saw plenty of surfers per usual
And we got to play on the beach
