It's Raining Sisters

An email from Ellen told me she was free for lunch if I could get to Coronado Island. Could I? I love Coronado. An island across from San Diego with the two main points of interest being the Naval Base and the Del Coronado Hotel. I love the Del. I did not even know she would be in San Diego.

Turns out one of her ex-vendors booked her a room in one of the Beach Villas of the hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. However, on my way to the hotel I decided to stop on the other side of the island and take some pictures of the view of San Diego.

It's not snowing.

This shows the convention center (the low building on the water on the right) where Ellen should have been attending a show and schmoozing (she did later when I dropped her off), and some condos and hotels that line the waterfront. The San Diego skyline has changed quite a bit since I arrived in 1975.

This is for Beth. All I took with me when I went to take the pictures was my keys and my camera. I left my purse, money, etc in the car. This is how the car looked when I returned from taking pictures. Turns out I just left the door open and everything was where I left it.

View from the villa - looking out to the private villa pool, the beach and Pt Loma. from the balcony.

Us.

Clare, you dork! We really are alike, believe it or not I did the EXACT SAME THING when I went with Tommy/Elizabeth, Shenda, and all of their children to the mall . We came back and there was the door, wide open. You can't imagine how dumb Ifelt (oh wait, I guess you can...)when the kids gave me this Look-along with a little verbal abuse- I thought for sure they were fixin to get me commited. Well, the good part is we can be roomies at the loony bin! Bonnie
