Palm Springs

Met a friend from LA in Palm Springs today - it is actually closer for me and she is there for a few days. It was perfect in PS - warmer than where I am but not hot. It was about 90, but the dry heat really does make a difference until you go over 100 and then heat is heat.

Had a fantastic terrace lunch at Las Casuelas (The Saucepans).
While we were sitting there someone walked by and she remarked "That looks like Alesandra (a supermodel from Brazil)." Then she stopped, remembered where she was and said, "Hey, I think it is her!" I don't know from models but I saw her enter the restaurant, so as we left we hunted her down to peek and lo and behold, it was her. I must say she is oddly small boned for one so tall. At least she was at a restaurant, so one hopes she eats. Right now there is a big concert at Coachella so all of PS is booked and that was our bit of the glitter.

On the way out of PS I could not help but take a picture of the wind farm. I am always impressed with them for who knows what reason. And they always seem hidden until you are right upon them. Come around a corner and all of a sudden there are hundreds of very large wind generators. Cheap thrills, as Janice said.

Meanwhile back at the farm...
So, what about the garden you ask? Below is Bed 1. In the foreground are potatoes and at the back are the tomatoes. In between is everything else. Beans keep getting their heads chewed off - thank you LASKA! I still hope to save the remaining ones and add some new.

The middle bed is herbs and the empty one will be more vegetables. After that the corn and zucchini one goes in. The excitement never stops.
