Life Marches On

My good friends, Don and Carmen, celebrated the high school graduation of their oldest child, Chelsea. Grecia was in Phoenix, but the rest of us were able to attend the barbeque celebration. What a treat. Chelsea is a wonderful athlete and all around great kid and I have nothing but confidence in her future.

Not sure if I took this today or 15 years ago? I've seen this scene before.

Congratulations!

The garden update (which was really the point wasn't it?):

Funny story. The front row is 4 different squashes. From the left: watermelon, asian squash (not sure what it is), cantaloupe and pumpkin. As you may notice, the pumpkin is appreciably larger than the others. Oddly so. I think I found out why.

When I turned on the automatic watering to check something, I noticed that the pumpkin got a direct feeding and the rest had to fend for themselves. No wonder it is happier.
