Critique in Pastel

I told Phoebe that I love a critique from a practiced eye. As my own critic I am very easy. It doesn't take much for me to think I am great, despite evidence to the contrary. but that is how I have survived so far so I am not willing to give it up just yet and actually work to meet my potential.

I have been playing with pastels and I love this hand study. It is not accurate or in proper perspective but I love it. See how easy I am?

Below is a study of a vineyard and as you can see, it is not very good. Except...I love the trees. So I will keep plugging away at that and see if I can improve. I am finding I love landscapes in general.

See why I need someone who actually knows something. I am way too easy on myself!

Any art you create is better than anything I can do, so GOOD JOB! Did you know my Grandpa was a painter? He painted ducks...boats...water scenes...thats all I can remember.

And I like the new background. Danielle essentially fixed ours all up. She made the header. And took the picture of my babies.
