Yes again. Beth and Chris were here for a whirlwind tour but we did manage to put aside a day for the wineries (there are priorities after all). Jean and Grecia came too. I was the DesDriver and poor Grecia had to head from there to work so did not get a lot of sips either. Although being European, and Russian to boot, I am sure he sees less stigma than we do. But he was a good boy.

We revisted a place where the wine was awful but for some reason we always have a great time there - Patrick will testify - and the view is fantastic.

It was a perfect day in the Southland. Breezy and warm, but not hot.
By this point Jean had left to get the kids and Grecia was off at work. We had this whole huge terrace to ourselves at Monte De Oro Winery. Below the vineyard is an orange grove and the scent of the blooming trees was outstanding. It is like honeysuckle mixed with nirvana. All in all a perfect vacation day for all of us.
