School Play and The Wilds of California

Number One grandson was in his middle school play this evening. It went as one might expect but it was cute and my grandson was the cutest of course. He is taller than I am. Scary.

I took the grandmother's prerogative and left during intermission and went home, since #1 grandson was finished with his part in the play. It was a beautiful evening.

Many people do not realize that California has some beautiful back country. None of which I captured very well, but we are limited by my abilities. The school was built in the middle of nowhere and it was a mile or so hike home so I walked it. Above and below are some of what I saw. There were some rabbits but they were too fast for me. I really wanted to use the caption: "It's just a little bunny rabbit"

Fields

The Palomar Observatory in the distance (that little white thing)

Some wildflowers. We were treated to a very wet winter and spring
so the wildflowers are exceptional

It was called Park Bench. Two old people reminiscing about their youth. He was one of the youth vignettes. I could not possibly follow it because I couldn't hear a damn thing even though they had pretty sophisticated mics.
