Art and Wine

Trying to commit to my art. I am so far behind I feel like I will never catch up. But what if I live another 40 years? I could probably accomplish something by then.

When the student is ready, the teacher will come. I found some cheap art classes - on a show up and pay basis - that are fairly close and the place has only been open a few months. If I were in the OC or LA County or even San Diego there would be plenty of places. As it is, this one is in Vista with a new one opening in San Marcos. Even better although I am still limited by the time/money continuum. But that is temporary.

Some of the starter stuff:

As you can see, there is a lot of room for improvement, but having fun getting there

That costs money. It is almost free to go out to the wineries and sketch. I took some pictures too to have here. And I ended up sketching faces instead of landscape. I can paint a landscape with a rough rough sketch but I hate just sketching landscapes. But it is so pretty out there I had to share.

Pretty:

And my next stop will be the blueberry farm. Trying to get Jean interested but don't think that is going to happen. It is a pick your own place a couple of miles from here. Can't wait to go.

Wine country IS a pretty place and those pics are great landscape subjects. Good luck with it! Beth

Of the sketches, I like the first one the best. A lot of emotion in that one. Beth (and I know nothing of judging art except what I see.)

Wow Clare- they're great! I know it's one step at a time, but you are on a good track, I see lot's of talent bubbling here. And the photos of the wine country are fabulous too. I swear we went to Van Roekel on a tour- is it in Temecula region?
