Of Lizards, Legumes and Layla

When you read these and are overwhelmed by the mind numbing repetitiveness please realize that a lot of this is just for me. It is the one form of journal I keep up with and without it I would have no idea what I had done the last two years! So bear with me....

I have a new visitor. Somehow a lizard has managed to get to the second floor and has opened up shop in my bedroom. It is a fast little bugger and has proved impossible to catch so if you have any ideas, I would love to hear them.

And, yes, having seen this on my pillow on my chair does give me pause every time I go to sit. I hope I don't wake up with lizard bites the way some people do with spider bites.
***Follow up***
I jokingly offered the kids $1 if they caught the lizard. And what do you know - Keith was motivated enough to do it and caught him live! LOL.

Peas! Glorious Peas! They are growing fast. Eating with the seasons is proving to be a lot of fun. Btw, I felt down into the sweet potato box and I think I will have an abundance of them! I am a little scared. Please feel free to forward recipes my way. So far I have the curry soup and some SP fries.

These are two eggplants planted the same time in the same soil with the same care. One is three times as big as the other.

The new fruit area. It will house strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I was going to surround them with bark until I remembered that grass clipping were free and bark costs money. The fence I put up after losing one blueberry plant to the dogs some time ago and having them trample through my newly composted beds this week. Why it took me so long I do not know but that ability to distance myself from reality has served me well most of the time. :)
