Our little friend was found cowering in a corner on the side of the house. After researching it turns out that they are not a pest and they eat snails so as far as I am concerned it can stay. But I think the possum is already making other plans.

Possum, Meet Layla
Jean came into my room and told me that Layla-the-rottweiler had raced out the front door and started running through the bushes and came out to the front yard with a dead possum in her mouth which she proudly dropped by Jean's feet. Grecia was all for calling someone to get it, I said why don't we just throw it in the trash. We went outside to the front yard to look at it and lo and behold - no possum. They don't call it playing possum for nothing.

They also eat cat food. We used to have a whole family living in our garage. One morning my Dad went out and found a mama and 3 babies hanging upside down in our rafters. No wonder we were going through the cat food so fast!
