Ah, box six and seven. Seeing some unused space I couldn't help myself. From the beginning I wanted at least 6 boxes so they could be planted twice a year. As one emptied out, the next starts.I have now realized that goal...but have so many more. This time I at least got Keith to help me - I find building hard and it definitely is easier with four hands.
No more empty space
Garden experiment. One night I used Elmer's glue to put seeds on 12X12 paper towels. Makes spacing easier and I don't use too many seeds. Plus I added nasturtium and some radishes to each square as companion plants for bug deterrents.

Planted and ready for the trellis.

I planted cucumbers on the north side. Hence the trellis.
We are going to try pickling and we have
some dill growing and should be able to use that.
The small box will hold sweet potatoes.

Garden view. I have a goal that all the vegetables for Thanksgiving come from the garden.
We shall see.
The rest of the garden (even I can see I am getting to be a bore...)

At one point in my checkered past I knew how to lash.
Not now however.

The beans have been growing like crazy and outpacing the corn. I have since learned that you should wait 2 weeks before planting the beans. Oops. So the few stakes I had in there are having to be maximized by adding an extra piece of bamboo. That was my solution anyway. My guess is there will be many beans unpicked and unseen during the season.

The first hint of a pumpkin. Looks like a clown head.

A couple of young zucchini. The plant seems none the worse for
wear after having a few of its leaves plucked

The tomatoes are beginning to blush.
Perhaps it is because of the carrying on of the male and female zucchini blossoms.
