Tommy misses the ocean. He has been surfing every day since he got here for his vacation. However, sitting in a chair and thinking is not great prep for such physically active pursuits. On the 9th he pulled his back out. Welcome to my world. However, that did not keep him out of the water. Yesterday we met at Moonlight Beach with the whole family; his and Elizabeth's. Not everyone could get there, but those who did had a great time. Even little Lyla.

They built a little playground at Moonlight where they used to have firepits. We celebrated Jean's her 16th or 17th birthday there.
Elizabeth's brother, Ben lives in Encinitas now - so this is home for him
She is too sweet! And she was wonderful all day. Lyla, too.
Tommy was able to borrow a longboard from a friend who is a lifeguard. Unfortunately he couldn't use it because of his back so Jean took it out for a spin after a long absence from surfing herself. Keith tried it out, too.
