Voila! Mon jardin. This is my first attempt at gardening year round. It only took me 34 years to give it a try. I have eight beds and the plan was to have a crop per bed every 6 months. It is now month six. Let's see if it can be done.

Overview. I have two rows of raised beds. The closest one on the left was planted in July and the one on the right was planted in May.

See, it didn't come from nowhere. :>
The Old
Three sisters - corn, beans and squash (zucchini in this case)
The corn is done but the squash and beans are seeing a resurgence and since the beans are climbing the corn I cannot pull them out yet.

Onions - they are finally forming bulbs and should be out by the end of the month. They are in the first box I planted in March and hope to replant in September.

This sad tangle is the last of the tomatoes. There is still lots of fruit on the plants and I expect to get at least another month out of them.

My one cantaloupe. Almost done.

A super teeny watermelon - and these are not a miniature variety. It is the only one on the vine so it is not long for this world.

Pumkin - also the only one the vine produced. But a nice healthy one and a good size. I expect it will be ready to pick soon.
The New
This healthy looking bed has beans, onions beets and carrots and was planted last month. I also planted celery, but they never sprouted. These are the healthiest looking beans I have planted so far. Unfortunately, Jean's family isn't that fond of them and unless I eat them morning, noon and night I cannot keep up so I have been freezing them. I realized I may have overdone the beans....

Winter squash - planted in June and looking good. There are a few of them on the vine and I hope to serve them at Thanksgiving, but I may have planted too early for that.

Eggplant - sat doing nothing for months and is just coming around. I have planted three at three different times and so far no eggplant. They are finally looking alive though, so never say die!

My gorgeous sweet potatoes - also earmarked for Thanksgiving.

Crazy cukes. They are wonderfully prolific and there are enough to make pickles as well as harvesting cucumbers. When I took this it was about 110 degrees out and they are looking a little hot. I also have a tower of cukes in the September bed - kind of jumped the gun. See below.

My zucchini that I thought was done is making a comeback.I cannot wait to be able to plant lettuce, broccoli, cabbage and more...
Eating seasonally has been really fun. Cheap thrills, as it were. Surely if I can make things grow, I can't be all bad.
