And on a tragic note: I had to use DRIED basil (mine) and dill (store-bought) in my otherwise fresh Greek salad today! Woe is me.

An Eggplant!
After planting in April(!) I FINALLY have an eggplant. I really thought that boat had sailed. This poor plant had been pretty seriously shaded by the tomatoes. But looks like it might just mature.
Right now it is about the size of a golf ball.
I was just thinking that I was neglecting the rest of the yard. Case in point: It has been so long since I mowed that a mature seed that must have dropped from a bean I picked had time to grow with two true leaves already!
And on a tragic note: I had to use DRIED basil (mine) and dill (store-bought) in my otherwise fresh Greek salad today! Woe is me.
