What a Treat
This garden has been a real treat for me and as a result I have been eating like a gourmet or perhaps the current word is foodie. Sort of like a spa; except for being alone and not getting any massages. For someone as broke as I have been, I feel like a queen. A queen in a spa with no employees.
Above is my pesto pasta. The pesto is homemade using garden basil and garlic.

My protein for the week was a wonderful top sirloin that was on sale. I grilled it and cut it into 5 pieces, had one for dinner and saved 4 for further use. Use #1 was this lovely steak salad; it contained tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, onion, Anaheim chilis, black beans, green beans, dill, basil and cilantro with a squirt of lime. All but the lime, meat and onion were from the garden. And one day I will have limes.
